Highline College Equity Task Force

The Equity Task Force is a working group accountable for the following charge:

• We identify and address systemic barriers which obstruct the support and growth of diversity, equity and inclusion through meaningful dialogue and professional development.
• We advise, guide and advocate for policy development and programming that fosters and promotes a climate which aligns with and supports the diverse needs of our campus community.
• We represent, share and address interests of the campus community through open dialogue with executive staff, pressing the need for transparency of communications and decision making.

Representing both governance bodies and interest groups, the Equity Task Force facilitates communications between Executive Staff and the campus community on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The communications are intended to be two-way, providing a sounding-board for Executive Staff’s deliberations and a conduit for questions, suggestions, and concerns that Executive Staff might consider.
